What is RLI file?
RealWorld Graphics (RLI) is a collection of image files designed to be used as background material in real time 3D applications. These layered images are stored in a compressed format called PPM (Planar Pixel Map). Images can have various resolutions, but the most common format is one that contains five layers, each with a particular resolution. The first four layers are available at 1K, 2K, 16K, and 256K resolutions while the fifth layer is at 2048x2048 resolution and will be unpacked during runtime and displayed. These higher-resolution layers require a much larger file size than the lower-resolution ones.

Tools that will help you view RLI files
Sometimes you need to quickly preview the contents of a file with the RLI extension. In such a situation, many people decide to find a tool that, according to its creators, can display the contents of the RLI file and many other types of files (All in One Viewer).
Of course, there are such tools. However, it should be remembered that they may display the data contained in the RLI file differently than the application dedicated to handling the RLI file extension. When you cannot afford to have the data of the RLI file displayed different from the original, you should use the applications developed to work with the RLI file.
Below you will find a list of software programs that will help you with this. These software programs will help you view the content of the RLI file, minimizing possible errors that may arise with other tools.
